The Uniden MHS75 is a compact, rugged handheld VHF marine radio designed for use on the water. It carries a JIS8/IPX8 waterproof rating and is submersible for up to 30 minutes at five feet, making it suitable for demanding marine environments. The radio operates on a frequency range of 156–174 MHz and covers all USA, International, and Canadian marine channels. Transmit power is user-selectable between 1, 2.5, and 5 watts, allowing you to balance communication range with battery life. The radio comes preprogrammed with all NOAA weather channels and includes an Emergency/Weather Alert function that sounds an alert tone when the NOAA issues a warning. Triple Watch mode monitors channels 16 and 9 every two seconds while you listen to your selected channel, ensuring you never miss a priority call. Included in the box are a rapid clip-on DC charger, a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, an SMA flexible rubber antenna, and a belt clip for hands-free carry.
